PKK number (Candidate Profile for the Course) - what it is and how to get it?

To keep it easier, we will use the abbreviation PKK number hereafter when referring to the Candidate Profile for the Course.
What PKK number is?
PKK number is digital trainee ID - number and profile, made by Department of Transportation. Thanks to PKK every information about the trainee and his Driving Course is transmitted electronically, without the need to submit documents in person at the city office.
What do I need to get PKK number?
Before you go to the Department of Transportation, you need to prepare documents and some other stuff:
Medical Examination
It’s possible to make medical examination in our diriving school office. Ask about the next available date by sending SMS to our number +48512116126 to make an appointment - they usually take place on selected Fridays at 3:00 PM.
Driver’s license photo
You need one photo - the same as for the ID or Passport. Do not stick the photo into the PKK number application - you need to sign it with your Name and Surname on the back side of the photo and add it to the application.
Application for issuance of Driving’s license
You will receive an Application along with instructions for completing it in our Driving School Office. Because the application has strictly defined dimensions it’s not possible to print it at home. You need to fill only one copy of the application.
Consent for parents
If you are under 18 years old - to get an PKK number you need consent from your parents, signed by them.
Application for PKK number - better online or stationary?
Website info-kierowca.pl offers possibility of application online for issuance of Driving’s license which you need to get PKK number. It’s comfortable possibility to deal with that formal matter - however as long as the current regulations are improvement there can be some impediments.
If you apply for issuance of Driving’s license online, Department of Transportation at any stage of training (usually when you pass your state practical exam), may contact you by phone or registered letter and will want you to provide the original medical certificate. This makes it necessary to search for documents again and go to the city office in person anyway.
We are looking forward to fixing this inconvenience. Until then, we recommend you to handle with that formal matter in person, to avoid later complications.
During the visit in Department of Transportation it’s worth to ask for possibility of paying for the issuance of a driving license (100 PLN by card). Thanks to this, after pass state practical exam, you don’t have to take care of anything else - just wait 10-14 days for production your driving license plate.
What do I need to take with me to Department of Transportation?

Medical certificate
A valid ID
If you don’t speak polish at communicative level - bring someone who can help you to speak with a clerk. It doesn’t have to be a native speaker, it can be someone from your family or a friend.
Optional documents:
Parental consent signed by both of them - only if you are under 18 years old. One of the parents must be current in the city office with you.
If you are foreginer - you need to proof of registered address in Poland or rental agreement and latest tax declaration (PIT)
Application for PKK number - where can I get it?
In cases related to PKK number you must apply at the Department of Transportation responsible for your place of residence. Your place of residence, not your registered address, determines which office you should apply to (sometimes the clerk can ask you to confirm your place of residence, by sign an declaration)

What do I do with PKK number, when I got it?
When you got your PKK number take it to our office - we will copy it and save it to be able to start your course. You don’t need to take any other documents - every information are included in your PKK number. Now it’s time to learn how to drive! 🙂
